When it comes to the art of sign making, we've got it covered.

FAQs

What is a vector file?

Digital images can usually be divided into two categories: bitmap files or vector files. Bitmap files are images that are created using pixels. When bitmap files are enlarged they look blurry, grainy, and jagged or in other words, pixelated. Vector files are made from points and lines using a mathematical description which allows us to enlarge an image without losing any clarity which gives you much better graphic on your signs. ( Refer to Raster Images vs. Vector Graphics under Graphic Design in Expand Your Sign Knowledge)

What type of file do I need to use to send in my artwork?

There are two types of printing: Large Format Digital Printing and Offset Printing. Large Format Digital Printing is used to print banners, digital prints, decals, wraps, trade show displays, canvas and large scale photos. Offset Printing is used to print business cards, postcards, brochures, flyers and promotional items. To insure the best graphics and to understand what is best for your project please refer to the Art Guidelines under Expand Your Sign Knowledge on the home page.

How long does it take for you to complete my order?

There really isn’t a short answer to this question. Some jobs can be produced in minutes and some may take weeks or months. Let us know when you need your job completed and we’ll let you know if it can be done. We go to great lengths to meet your most stringent demands.

What is a “proof”?

A proof is a way of ensuring that we have set your type accurately and that everything is positioned according to your requirements. Typically, we will produce a proof which will be sent to you online or printed on paper which can be viewed in our store or delivered to you in person.

On multiple color jobs, we can produce a color proof on our color output device to show an accurate representation of the final product.

Why do I need to look at a proof if I’ve already given you everything I need to have done?

We employ human beings to produce your work and, last time we checked, humans are not perfect. Your approval on the final proof is assurance that you have looked over every aspect of our work and approve it as accurate. It benefits everyone if errors are caught in the proofing process rather than after the job is completed and delivered.

Do I still need to approve a proof if I bring my work in on disk?

It may seem like a proof wouldn’t be needed in this case but it really is. Output devices process digital information using a variety of processing languages. Your approval of the proof which we will provide assures that the output device used has correctly interpreted and processed the information you have provided.

How do I go about getting an estimate from you?

Well, since you are here, we would suggest you use our online estimate request form (link is on the home page!). Otherwise, the best way to ensure that we get all the information necessary to do an accurate quote, give us a call and talk with one of our customer service representatives.

How much does a sign cost?

The cost of a sign varies depending on what kind of sign you want us to make. We have to consider the expense of materials and labor that go into making your sign in order to find the right price.

How do I prepare my vehicle for a wrap?

Make sure that before you bring your vehicle to us for a wrap that it is clean and free of wax and silicone residues. Cleaning your vehicle before-hand will prevent additional fees for in house cleaning time.

How do I care for my new vehicle graphic/wrap? banner? Magnetic sign?

Please refer to Product Care under the Products tab on our home page.

Happy Customers

I have worked with several sign companies over the past 10 or more years and can honestly say that Brett Herrlinger and Pam Shaffer were a joy to work with.

They  were creative with the artwork, capable with the technical issues, cost effective and great at working with the local municipality to obtain approvals for the entire commercial subdivision on which I am currently developing. The later save me countless hours of work.

They were extremely responsive and agreeable to help me meet my goals and I recommend them very highly to anyone who needs a good trustworthy relationship with a sign vendor.
